My heart is heavy this morning as I try to do all the mundane tasks that Monday morning brings knowing that there are many who are unable to perform their usually daily tasks.  Watching the news and hearing the reports of the lives lost to more senseless violence has me deeply saddened.  However, I also know that God has not abandoned us and I know this to be true as a result of witnessing the ordination of many new pastors this weekend as well as the joy of the children as they participated in worship yesterday.  God continues to call His people toward love not hate and so we must journey forward in unity; we cannot shrink in fear but rather must stand firm in the faith.  Please join me in praying for all those effected by this horrible massacre that peace will prevail, that light will conquer darkness and that healing may begin.  Let us all Choose Love.
