Spooner House (30 Todd Road, Shelton; 203.225.0453) is operated by Area Congregations Together (ACT), Inc. with the mission of providing food, shelter and support services to people in need. All of their energies are devoted to helping their clients establish a self-sufficient living situation.  They recognize the dignity of their clients, give them respect and deliver services without proselytizing.

Our relationship continues to grow — we conduct special collections for items such as cleaning supplies and/or toiletries, as needed.

ACT operates the only homeless shelter in the Lower Naugatuck Valley and one of the few in the state that welcomes families with children as well as individual adults.
