Celebration of Margaret Bain

This Saturday, November 14th at 11:00, we will FINALLY have a memorial service for our mom, Margaret Bain, who left us on May 31, 2020.  This year has been a challenge to say the least.  We wish we could invite all of you to the service but with rising numbers Covid-19 cases, the church has rolled back the number of people allowed in the church, so we need to do the service virtually.

Mom went to the hospital for a few minor ailments which would have released her a few days later.  We were unable to visit with her due to Covid-19 lockdown, but we were able to bring her home where she passed peacefully of heart failure.  We take comfort in the fact that she went out the way she would have wanted – without presenting a burden on anyone, quickly, relatively without pain and at home.  She never really suffered from any illnesses other than aging ailments.  So for this, we are blessed.  The three hymns selected in the service are the hymns that we were playing for her as she left us with Judy, Janelle and I holding her hands.

Below is the link for the Zoom to the service.  We are also recording it so we can forward it to anyone that we missed on this list.  You should not need to install anything to view the Zoom session, just click the link and follow the prompts.  The phone number is for audio if you are not signing on to Zoom.

If you would like to say a few words about Margaret, email a few short sentences to me (russbain@aol.com) and we will try to read as many as we can during the service, time permitting.  Please send them to me by this Thursday, 11/12 so we can put it together.  Many thanks for that!

Many marveled at Mom’s smile and her warm, engaging personality.  She touched many people who grew to love her in some way.  We thank you all for being part of her life and part of our lives.

Much love,
Russ & Peter, Judy & Steve
