Pray for the Northeast, New Mexico and Texas: Flooding 2025

THE NORTHEAST US UMCOR UPDATE (July 15, 2025)

Join us in prayer for those impacted by yesterday’s severe flash flooding in the Northeast U.S. Record levels of rainfall inundated several states, including Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia, and more rain is expected to impact the region today.

We are in communication with the affected annual conferences and are prepared to support their response efforts.

NEW MEXICO UMCOR UPDATE (July 9, 2025)

Join us in prayer for people in the Ruidoso area of southern New Mexico who were impacted by flash flooding yesterday. We pray especially for those who have lost loved ones and lost their homes as a result of this disaster.

As the long road to recovery begins, we are prepared to support the response efforts of the New Mexico Annual Conference.

TEXAS UMCOR UPDATE (July 10, 2025)

The videos and stories coming from the July 4 flooding in central Texas and the tragic loss of lives is overwhelming. In response, the United Methodist Committee On Relief (UMCOR) awarded a solidarity grant to the Rio Texas Annual Conference to support their relief efforts. The grant provides immediate relief to those impacted through Early Response Team deployment, debris removal, distribution of relief supplies and more.

Checks can be made payable to “UMCM” with “UMCOR/US” in the memo line. You can do so through our UMCM Website – on the Ways to Give page.

We will keep this open for at least the next few weeks and then send a consolidated amount to the UMCOR fund servicing that area.
