Patti Early

“Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Ephesians 5:19

Having been raised as a United Methodist, Patti chose to make UMC of Monroe her church home and family about twenty years ago, feeling the presence of the Holy Spirit from the moment she entered the church. Her primary focus has always been on music and worship, serving as a lay speaker, choir member, assistant music director, tech coordinator and most recently as the Lay Leader to our church family.  In her role, she hopes to be a support for the spiritual activities and growth in our congregation and assist our pastor in bringing folks to a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. Outside of UMC of Monroe, for many years Patti had been active in the Emmaus youth retreats, and more recently has served on teams for Footsteps in the Sand weekend retreats encouraging others to better know the unconditional love of Christ in fellowship with other believers.

Patti and her husband, Kevin, have lived in Monroe for over 40 years. They are the proud parents and in-laws to their son Tom and his wife Amanda, and their daughter Katie and her husband Scott, with whom they enjoy spending time.  Recently retired, they enjoy spending time with friends and family, working out at the local YMCA, hiking and traveling.
