UMCOR UPDATE: Thursday, July 10, 2025

The videos and stories coming from the July 4 flooding in central Texas and the tragic loss of lives is overwhelming. In response, the United Methodist Committee On Relief (UMCOR) awarded a solidarity grant to the Rio Texas Annual Conference to support their relief efforts. The grant provides immediate relief to those impacted through Early Response Team deployment, debris removal, distribution of relief supplies and more.

As always, UMCOR is our way as a connectional church to provide help where it is needed. If you would like to make a donation to assist in the disaster relief efforts in central Texas, you can do so by clicking on the UMCOR/US button on our website homepage (https://umcmonroe.org/umcor-us-disaster-response-and…/), placing a check in the collection plate or mailing to the church office. Checks can be made payable to “UMCM” with “UMCOR/US” in the memo line.

Many thanks for your consideration and please continue to pray for those who have lost loved ones and for all who have been impacted by this devastating disaster.
