Have a bicycle you aren’t using anymore?
The United Methodist Church of Monroe is always looking for bike donations for Golden Hill United Methodist Church’s Used Bike Giveaway (every June) for families in need.
** Thanks to everyone who donated a bike for the 2024 Used Bike Giveaway! Your generosity contributed to more than 85 bicycles being given to kids of all ages — for play … for exercise … to get to work … for the pure enjoyment of being outdoors! **
UMC Monroe is especially thankful for the leadership, passion, time and talents of Carin and Matthew in representing our community and helping families in the Greater Bridgeport area be able to hop on their bikes and go for a ride!

Donation guidelines and how to donate:
- Need children’s, youth and adult bikes.
- Bikes should be in decent shape (perhaps in need of a few minor repairs).
- Bikes can be delivered to the United Methodist Church of Monroe (515 Cutlers Farm Road, Monroe) and left at the garage/shed in the back upper parking lot. Please contact Matthew Cacace (ctcharitybikeworks@gmail.com) to notify him of your plans to do so.
- A bike pick up can be arranged for a mutually agreeable time — contact Matthew (ctcharitybikeworks@gmail.com) to make arrangements.
- We’ll need bike donations by mid-May to allow time for repairs.
For questions or to arrange to give a bike donation, please contact Matthew (ctcharitybikeworks@gmail.com) or the church office (203.268.8395 or umc@umcmonore.org).
