The Rotary Club of Monroe is collecting new pairs of men’s, women’s and kid’s socks during the second half of October for their SOCtober event.
The club will be matching donations — if 1,000 pairs of new socks are donated, the club will match it with another thousand. (That’s a lot of socks!) The socks will be donated to Bridgeport Rescue Mission, Homes for the Brave (serving veteran women and men), and The Center for Family Justice, all Bridgeport-based non-profits.
There will be a collection box for your sock donations in the church Narthex for the next two weeks (October 24 and 31).
